Are you using text message listings detail delivery with signs on your listings? Have you considered it? If you have looked into it and haven't done it, why? Was it cost? If you are doing it or have done it, what were your results? Tell us here. Tell Us What You Think

Agent

This service should include automatic updates of price thru an MLS download update. This would be maintenance free for the listing agent.

Texting is great. Period.

I'm a real estate agent and will definitely be trying this. As you point out, the price is right, so what do I have to lose? Just about everyone has a cell phone and texting has become common place. Saves folks getting out of the car to get the flyer too! We'll see how it goes.... Thanks for the heads up. I've been thinking about doing this for a while and was looking for a price effective solution. Glad you showed up on my search!

Texting is great but......

Unless a significant majority of agents get on board with this technology, the end result is a inconsistent and frustrating consumer experience. Anything that is dependent on agent involvement to provide consistency seems destined for failure. I'm not interested in using broker sites either, since they have a vested interest in their own business and rarely present all the data equally. What I would like to see is the MLS stepping up to the plate and providing mobile friendly access to listing data. Upcoming web-based mobile services like http://www.kurio.com with a direct connection to real-time, accurate MLS data and support for location based search, seem to have the greatest potential to fill the current mobile void. Thanks, J.P.
