Facebook for Real Estate
With 800+ million users, Facebook is without a doubt the big social destination on the Web. It's a more personal destination than many others, with a lot of friend, family and common interest interaction. However, business has moved into Facebook in a big way as well, and real estate professionals can use it effectively.
Real Estate and Twitter
The short nature of the Tweet makes Twitter a different tool for real estate marketing than Facebook and others, but it can still be effective. The key is that there is so much content going through Twitter streams that the real estate professional should build followers in a way that they pay attention to the content the real estate person is delivering.
LinkedIn for Real Estate Business
LinkedIn is a more business-like site, with a lot of connection between employers, job hunters and independent contractors. Real estate professionals can build relationships with real estate support personnel, appraisers, surveyors, title companies, lenders and others on LinkedIn. These lead to referrals and help the real estate agent to position themselves as a local market expert.
Google+ Gaining for Real Estate
Google+ is the new social media site on the block, but it's grown its user base faster than all of the others by a huge margin. In this series of integration steps, it will be moving content in the reverse direction of the others, but it will help in ways you will appreciate.
Real Estate Blogging
I'll use WordPress for examples here, as it has the most power and flexibility, but other blogging platforms, even those provided with template websites, can do some or all of what I'm writing about. Blogging is recognized as an excellent SEO strategy and a way to present yourself as the local market expert in your area.
Go to the next step to see how we're going to tie all of these together.
