Real Estate Policy Manual - Your State Advertising Regulations
Avoid the State Call or Letter Because an Associate Broke the Rules

By James Kimmons, About.com

This section of our real estate policy manual will really just copy over the most important state regulations for real estate advertising. In many brokerages, associates may be doing some or all of their own advertising. Your brokerage is responsible for the content of ads out there.

Make the statement here that all associates are expected to keep up with rule changes, even if not changed in this policy. State also that they are to follow the regulations explicitly in all cases.

Download this example document section.

*Note: This example from an actual policy manual is provided for reference purposes only. Your brokerage should use it for ideas and guidance, consult with your attorney, and then draft your policy manual according to your desires, the laws of your state, and your attorney's counsel.
