Download the free transaction spreadsheet.

Save the spreadsheet to your desktop.
Though transaction tasks differ from area to area, we have some spreadsheets constructed with a set of common tasks. These sheets are set up to allow you to enter just four items of information, and the sheet will calculate due dates for the tasks based on the number of days from contract date or the number of days before closing.

You should save the basic spreadsheets as masters, then copy each to be a working copy. That way, if you do something to harm the formulas in your working copy, you can make another from your masters. You can also return here to download a new copy at any time. We'll do this step-by-step for the Residential Buyer Side Transaction. Then you can follow it again to do the remaining spreadsheets in the final step.

When you click on here's the spreadsheet link, you'll get a window similar to the one shown here. You want to save the spreadsheet to your computer hard drive, preferrably in a folder where you'll save all of the transaction spreadsheets in your "My Documents" folder. You might create a folder called "TransactionSheets" or something similar so that you can find them again. Save this sheet and we'll go on to the next step where we'll open it and learn how to use and customize it.
