MLS Areas and Subdivisions

Jim Kimmons
The way your Multiple Listing Service locates properties by area or location may not be logical to the average consumer. Don't assume that they know where the "Arlington Heights" area is located. Provide MLS area information and maps if possible on your site. Do a separate page for each if at all possible. The same example holds true. Now you can have a page optimized for "Arlington Heights" and your chances of capturing visitors from the search engines are much better.

As far as subdivisions, again it's best to have a page for each. Even if you only have a couple of paragraphs with basic location, size and property value information, it will bring you site visitors searching just for information on that subdivision.
