It Isn't Just Real Estate Ethics Here - This Could Violate the Law
Read the advice of the real estate expert to these disillusioned sellers.

What can these sellers do?

Based on your version of the events, it is possible that the Realtor's conduct may have violated both the Code of Ethics and Florida licensing law. I advise you to quickly contact an attorney familiar with real estate litigation experience in order to discuss your options in this matter. You can also file an ethics complaint with the agent's Board of Realtors ( BOR ), and another with Florida's Department of Business and Professional Regulation ( DBPR ) via its web site.

Keep in mind that I am simply expressing a limited opinion based on little knowledge of the events and cannot come to any definite conclusions regarding the Realtor's actions at this time. What you have described reads like a classic textbook case of Realtor misconduct, but the other side of the story needs a fair hearing. However, there seems to be enough substance that you can -- and should -- explore the avenues described above.

Of those three, only litigation can result in financial relief. The other two can lead to sanctions, fines, and discipline against the Realtor if your complaint prevails.

I hope this is of some help to you. If you and your husband feel that you have been cheated or taken advantage of, you don't have to turn your backs and walk away.
