Well, I'm in the same boat as you, and my goal for each and every facet of my business is to ferret out technology tools that are free or cheap, and that help me to do something once and use it many times. Other tools help me to get things done very quickly that used to be a real pain and suck up large amounts of my time. This tip is about Zoho Creator, and how I use it to place perpetually updating statistics on my real estate website. Google has a similar tool, and they're both free, but I like Zoho's better, as it's easier to set up and use.
There are two images with this tip, one of the entry form where I place the statistics numbers from my MLS. The other is how they automatically then display on my website. Use these two links to see them full size. This happens because Zoho gives me the embed code that creates the display. I only do that once, and that page is done. I don't have to go in and update it. When I open my online form at Zoho and enter this week's or today's numbers, they automatically fill in another line on the site display.
I do these current listings stats at least three times a week now, as it only takes about five minutes to make it happen. Positioning yourself as a local real estate expert is your goal with a blog or website. Giving your visitors up-to-date statistics is a great enhancement. Doing it this easily means that you'll actually make it happen.
