Using Web Bites to Build Your Internet Real Estate Presence

Your Web Bites Can Bring You Business

By James Kimmons, About.com

Deciding which listing to click - When you do searches on the Web, how many times have you made the decision about which result to click based on seeing your search phrase in bold in the search result listing? In other words, if you searched on "using blogs for real estate marketing," seeing blogs for real estate marketing would probably prompt you to click and visit that site.

You'd be even more likely to click on the listing if the text around the bolding was also relevant, such as "How to profit from blogs for real estate marketing. Your future real estate seller or buyer client is no different. More consumers every day are choosing their real estate professional based on their perception of the expertise and knowledge displayed on the Web.

Creating your "web bites" - When you select or write content for your website, post to your blog, comment on the blogs of others, or answer consumer questions on a social networking site, your statements will appear in search results with these "web bites" in the text.

If you watch your site statistics or use Google Analytics, you can see the phrases people are using that bring them to your site. Expand on the popular ones. Use them in all of your Internet writing, whether commenting or answering questions. If you find a popular phrase, write a blog post specifically targeting that phrase for SEO.

Comment on other blogs, answer consumer questions on social sites, and be active on the Internet about your local real estate market. You'll be impressed with the future visits your site will receive because your "web bites" turned up in search results all over the Web.
