In my many articles about blogging for real estate, I've been very adamant that blogging is the most effective web presence you can create to market your knowledge and your real estate business. Another tool in your marketing box can be real estate podcasting, and it fits in nicely with blogging.
My WordPress blog has a plugin installed to allow me to insert an audio file into the post easily. I place all of my podcast audios into a podcast category, and that RSS feed is set up with iTunes and available as a free podcast at the iTunes Store. A site visitor can subscribe to the feed from the site, and receive only those posts that are audio podcasts if they want. The podcast feed can be submitted to a large number of Podcast Directories for location by those using MP3 players or just wanting to play them on the computer.
As our busy lives get even busier, the podcast will become more important to many. The ability to listen to news and other information resources on the go will be highly popular. By placing selected content into a podcast, you make it available to the world when and where they want it.
I've advised that you should write blog posts that answer questions frequently asked by your customers and clients. You can send them an email link to read the answers instead of repeating them in a new email. They can be about title insurance, inspections, etc.
Well, the real estate podcast takes it to a new level. Take the same questions and do a short podcast episode talking about the exceptions on a local title binder and what they mean. Some will much prefer hearing it as you would explain it in person. And, sending them a link in email to the podcast blog post will get the answer to them with just a couple of clicks of your mouse.
The podcast gets even more of your personality out there. Prospects can learn more about you, become loyal followers, and they haven't even met you yet! Think about a real estate podcast for your site and marketing plan. The benefits are many, and the cost is very low.
