We want to make our favorite mortgage person an Author on our site. He doesn't know anything about WordPress or blogging, so we'll let him email us his text. However, by setting him up as an author, his byline will show on his posts. Also, we can have a link from his name to his web page on every post. This will keep us from having to add a link in every post he sends us, as it will be automatic.
The other thing we'll do in this lesson is to use a plugin called "Posts by Author" to have the last five posts by an author show at the bottom of their individual posts. Once installed, it will automatically place links to their last x# of posts at the bottom. This is tracked by author, so we need them in as a user and author before the posts are entered, or we'll have to go back to their older posts and change the author.
The entries required for a new user and author are shown in the image, and they're self-explanatory. Be sure to select "Author" if that's what they'll be.
