Definition: Drip email is the process of automatically "dripping" emails to contacts or prospects on a scheduled basis. Emails are prepared in advance and go out at timed intervals until the series is completed.
Be careful in choosing a system or product, as you need to be sure it will accomplish your desired results. There are numerous "drip email" products offered that will send the email series to a list, but if a new contact is added in the middle of the series, that contact will only receive the emails remaining and not those already sent. If you want to have prospects receive the full series no matter when they enter your system, be sure that the product or service will accomplish it.
