This plugin will catch just about 100% of your comment spam from now on. Once your site is discovered by the jerks of the world, they will set up automated systems to send hundreds of spam comments to your posts. Akismet is phenomenal at recognizing them and not letting them go live. You then go in now and then and get rid of them.
