Chapter 3 - Getting Ready To Post & Setting Options

Before you put your words out there, make sure they display properly.

The first thing you'll see every time you log in to manage your blog or to post will be the Dashboard. So, let's take a look at the Dashboard now. I won't be going over the boxes on the right for this overview, but will tell you what all of the left side navigation is all about.

From now on in this tutorial, I'll be using a lot of screen shots with notes. The best way to do that here on About.com is to link you over to another page with the graphic and notes. However, at the bottom of each page will be a link to come right back here when you're finished. Feel free to print these articles and the image pages as well, creating you a booklet for reference as you go. Use the print option at the top right to get printer friendly output.
