Web Site Layout With Blogs for Listings

Single property websites are gaining popularity for the marketing of listings on the internet. Using multiple single property blogs is probably a better solution than the websites. But, to take it to the next level, combine the two for a listing marketing powerhouse.

Consider that you want to expose a listing, its features and photos on the internet. But, what if you could also talk about why these listing clients chose you in the first place? There's also the listing services that you provide. They could be explained in detail. You could talk about your successes and marketing expertise.

You say you're doing this already on your website? You probably are, and don't take that content down. However, if someone finds your listing blog(s) in a search, wouldn't it be nice if they had single-click access to your listing marketing services? Let's look at two ways to combine the two goals and increase your exposure and search engine clout.

Use a Wordpress blog with static pages. - The free Wordpress blogging platform allows the construction of static pages, just like on a regular website. You can have buttons on the first page of the blog that bring up your services and other marketing pages. Though you don't have as much flexibility as with a static web page, they will generally meet your needs. The one drawback here is that each blog will need to have the pages copied into it, and the duplicate content won't help you with the search engines. You could place the static content on only one of the blogs and let the others link to it, but it could confuse the visitor by passing them off to the other listing.

Host Wordpress blogs on a static site. - This is the ultimate listing marketing solution. Hosts like Yahoo.com (Buy Direct) will provide one-click Wordpress files installation for multiple blogs. Let's assume you take the main domain name of www.JohnDoeListings.com. Each blog would have an address like www.JohnDoeListings.com/123MainStreet/ and that would be an individual blog. You can then purchase a domain name of www.123MainStreet.com for about $10 to point to it. The best part is that you build your static pages, including a home page with links to the individual blogs off the main url, so that typing in JohnDoeListings.com takes the visitor to the home page and access to all the material from there.

This is a very inexpensive solution that will provide a great deal of flexibility in layout, impress your sellers, and help with your search engine positioning. You'll place a link to your IDX search on your other site on every listing blog. If you don't have a main site yet, or you're thinking of changing, look at this solution for your entire web presence.
