In my research, I came across NABPOP, the National Association of Broker Price Opinion Professionals. I joined in the interest of learning, as I really do not have the time to do BPOs. The reason I mention not doing them in the past or present is to reinforce the value I believe that this organization offers to those wishing to do BPOs. For those agents and brokers, it fills several pressing needs:
All of this was excellent information for me, so I can only surmise that it would be highly useful to someone wishing to do BPOs in their real estate practice. Basic membership is $80 per year, and you get some free testing at that level. If the only reason you do it is to test your knowledge, you'll find that these are not easy exams. A proper BPO, even a drive by is more involved than most CMA's.
