NAR Releases Size of their Error

This morning, a press release from the National Association of Realtors® announced the extent of their five year error in existing home sales reporting.  It is stated that sales since 2007 were over-reported by 14.3%.  Part of the problem was attributed to homes listed in more than one MLS, thus causing them to be reported sold twice.  There are a lot of other data sets in the release, so you'll have to get into the middle of the article to see this most important revelation.
