Password protected feeds are used a lot by subscription type services and forums. If you're into using a feed reader, as I am, to get the bulk of your news delivered each day, it's frustrating when Google Reader and others do not allow subscription to password-protected feeds.

Along comes FreeMyFeed.com, and all is well. Of course, it's free. And, it allows you to enter your feed url and login, then creates an open feed for subscription. It's only available to you, so you're not broadcasting the feed. I have several subscription forums that use these feeds, and the service worked perfectly in Google Reader.
