MySpace & Facebook Are OK - But Don't Ignore LinkedIn

Tuesday November 18, 2008
The social networking world is certainly in high gear. Real estate professionals are attending classes, seminars and coaching sessions telling them to start networking on Twitter, MySpace, Facebook and LinkedIn. Some would place LinkedIn last, as it's not a social network, but more of a professional and business resource.

I started with LinkedIn, because most of my very best clients are professionals or corporate mid-level or upper-level management people. I knew that many of them were already LinkedIn members as well. Getting started and getting recommendations would be fast for me there. I learned some things in the process, like there are really lousy instructions. I paid for an eBook that wasn't any help either.

So, I've started a set of tutorials on using LinkedIn, and the first is how to set up your free profile. There is a series of 14 image-supported steps, and you'll have a great profile when you're finished. It's easy, so go learn how to set up a LinkedIn profile now.
