NAR Sees More Slowing For Commercial Real Estate

In the article Leading Commercial Real Estate Index Contracts in First Quarter, the National Association of Realtors predicts more softening in commercial real estate activity going forward.

This leading indicator has shown a decline for three consecutive quarters, from a high in 2007. Commercial real estate seems to be following residential with a year or so delay. It remains to be seen when residential will turn upward, and if commercial activity will stay that far behind in a recovery as well. Here's a link to the Index Chart.
