Email - Don't Confuse "Drivel" with Drip

Just do a Google search with the key phrase "free drip email campaigns" and you can keep busy for a couple of hours reading canned email campaigns, many with the same generic and mediocre content repeated incessantly. This, in my opinion, illustrates the WordReference.com definition of "drivel", which is: "garbage, a worthless message."

Even the sources who recommend "customization" of their campaign for the individual agent are really only getting a few who end up with drivel customized with their name and brokerage. As most of the information is available everywhere and is totally generic, no amount of customization is going to give it "value" to the consumer and prospect.

Drivel
  • Good Smells Sell Homes

  • Upgraded kitchens for $

  • Clean homes sell faster

  • Curb appeal sells homes

Drip
  • Selling in your market

  • Buying in your market

  • Negotiating in your mkt.

  • Statistics in your market

Value to someone considering buying or selling in your local real estate market will be information about your local real estate market. It's not a difficult concept, nor is it difficult to develop a totally unique set of content for your drip email campaign. Just write about what you know, and what your clients and prospects ask you in the course of business.
